Large Acoustic Sound Panels
Large-format panels, up to 4 feet by 8 feet, for walls and rooms where a handful of big panels beats a grid of small ones. This collection covers large 2-inch panels (NRC 1.0), large 4-inch bass traps, PET felt panels in bigger formats, and large custom art panels. Gymnasiums, auditoriums, sanctuaries, warehouses, and big commercial walls are the typical fit.
Who this collection is for
Choose large-format panels when the wall or room is big enough that dozens of small tiles would mean dozens of mounting points and a slow install. The benefit of going large is easier install and less labor cost on a commercial job, not a lower price per square foot and not fewer seams for their own sake. If your room is a normal-sized office, bedroom, or studio, the standard 2-inch panel collection at 24x48 and under is almost always the simpler, cheaper answer.
How to choose within this collection
- 2-inch large panels (NRC 1.0): the large-format version of our flagship absorber, for walls and ceilings that need maximum absorption at scale.
- 4-inch large bass traps: broadband, low-frequency absorption in a bigger format, no single NRC number published. Best for large rooms with a real low-end problem.
- PET felt, large format: NRC 0.88, a lighter-weight, design-forward option for walls and ceilings. See the acoustic ceiling tiles collection for the full felt line.
- Large custom art panels: your image or logo printed on an acoustically transparent face over the absorbing core. NRC 1.0 belongs to the 2-inch panel substrate; a printed art face absorbs somewhat less. See the art acoustic panels collection for sizing.
Shipping on large panels
Any panel dimension over 48 inches ships freight, dock to dock, at a flat $499.99 or $599.99 depending on size. A liftgate is a $95 self-serve add-on at checkout for deliveries without a dock or forklift; it is never automatically included. A 48x48 panel is the largest size that still ships ground.
When a different collection is the better fit
Rooms under roughly 300 square feet, or anyone mounting panels alone without equipment to handle a large sheet, usually do better with standard-size 2-inch or 1-inch panels. Large format earns its keep on big commercial walls where installer time is the real cost.
Common questions
Do large panels ship free?
No. Over 48 inches on any dimension moves to flat-rate freight, dock to dock. Liftgate is a separate $95 add-on.
What size is the largest panel you build?
4 feet by 8 feet (48x96 inches), with custom sizes available within that range.
Why is large-format worth it?
Fewer mounting points and a faster install, which lowers labor cost on a commercial job. It is not a per-square-foot discount.
What NRC do large panels carry?
The 2-inch large panel is NRC 1.0. Large bass traps are not given a single NRC number.
Can I get a large panel with my logo printed on it?
Yes, see custom art panels for large-format printed options.
